milestones

my son has left college. Is this his milestone or mine? He is off to become a rockstar. And I am off to become understanding. College isn't for everyone. He is a talented musician and lyricist. I always wanted to be a writer for Rolling Stone when I was younger. I am a wife, mother and teacher. I used to write all of the time, journals, poetry, stories. Then I stoppped. I would be devastated if my son stopped playing guitar, writing songs and music.

As we each reach our own milestone, (he and I) they look just as they should bright and exciting....
